Event:
Join us for an exciting day of competition and community at our Cornhole Tournament Fundraiser! This will support the Police and Firefighter Citizens Academy. Whether you're a seasoned pro or a backyard enthusiast, this event is the perfect opportunity to showcase your skills, have fun and support a great cause.
Details:
Cornhole Tournament, Food Truck, Music, Raffles, and Silent Auction. The Tournament will feature a Double Elimination Bracket. Teams will compete in a double-elimination format, meaning each team must lose twice to be eliminated. Prices will be awarded to the 1st, 2nd & 3rd place team winners.
Game RULES:
Scoring | Games are played to 21 points or first to reach a score of 21 or higher. Only the team that reaches 21 points or higher wins the round, no bust will be played.
Points are scored by the cancellation method:▪ 3 points for a bag in the hole.▪ 1 point for a bag on the board.▪ Scores are calculated after all 8 bags are thrown (4 per player per round).▪ Team that scores the points during that round gets to throw first throughout the game
Turns and Throws | A coin toss will determine who throws first. Teams alternate throwing bags from the pitcher's box. Players must throw from behind the front edge of the board.
Winning | The first team to reach 21 points or higher wins the game. The winning team will move forward in the bracket, while the losing team will move to the losers' bracket.
Tournament Structure:
Bracket | Double-elimination format. Teams remain in the tournament until they lose twice. The winner of the losers' bracket will play the winner of the winners' bracket for the championship. The championship game is best out of 3 (final round only)
